Nightingale's Song

This piece was done as an illustration to the fairytale The Emperor's Nightingale. The crow represents death that came to take away the Emperor's, while the song "The Nightingale" is written out in the background with the small nightingale singing to Death to have him spare the Emperor's life.

This piece is done in tea stained water color paper with ink.
